No, this isn’t some easily made knock knock joke (though co-star Ben Schwartz did respond with, “who’s there?”) It’s actually a slick reference to one of the most (in)famous and beloved moments in Knuckles’ history as part of the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise. The news was revealed on Elba’s social media, sporting a teaser image of Knuckles’, well, knuckle. Not only will Sonic’s not so chucklin’ nemesis Knuckles be making an appearance, but he’ll be played by none other than Idris Elba. Sonic the Hedgehog 2, set to release in 2022, just added a major talent to its cast.
